By buying a product from the site you agree that you accept our terms of sale and conditions. We are bound by regulations and laws in ENGLAND and any disputes etc will be actioned in the English courts and no others.

OUR PRODUCTS
Each product is individually photographed – we do not use stock photographs. However where we have more than one of an item the photographs may not all apply to each item. We will try to make this plain in the description but if you have any questions please ask before purchase and we will send you the relevant photos of the item you would be purchasing.
Items may be advertised in more than one place. We will try at all times to make sure those listed are available but in the event of their being sold elsewhere we will advise you as soon as possible by email and refund any monies paid.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We will never share your information with a third party unless required to do so by law. We will only use your information to ensure the smooth purchase procedure, process your payment and to let you know of any other products/ services we have that may be of interest to you.
BUSINESS CUSTOMERS
By purchasing you confirm that you are able to purchase on behalf of the company concerned.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU ORDER
We shall acknowledge your order at the time and will then either a) send a notice of despatch b) advise you if the order cannot be processed for any reason. In the case of b) a refund will be made immediately. Please check your order carefully before submitting as changes cannot be made once despatch has been confirmed.
CANCELLATION OF ORDER
You may cancel your order within 14 days of placing the order or at any time up to the time we have despatched the item (whichever is longer). If the order has been despatched before notice of cancellation is received then the item will need to be returned to us at your expense before the full purchase price of the item will be refunded. Please note a full refund will be made of all monies paid if the item is NOT despatched. If the item has been despatched then the refund will be for the purchase price of the item only – i.e postage will not be refunded.
RETURNS
You may return the item within 14 days of receipt. Before returning you must contact D G GENEALOGY to arrange return by an agreed method, with tracking and signature upon delivery and this will be at your cost. Unless the item is faulty in which case reasonable postage will be refunded.
If you wish to return an item to us you should contact us via the ‘contact us’ page on the website. We will liaise with you to arrange the most efficient way of returning the item and of processing your refund. Refunds will be made via paypal.

DELIVERY
Our working days are Monday – Friday and do not include bank holidays. We aim to despatch within 5 working days. Delivery will depend on the mode of postage used which will be shown on the individual listing. UK MAINLAND: Standard Delivery is by Royal Mail 1st class and is usually next day (therefore item will be received normally within 6 working days of the order). Standard Courier is normally 2 – 3 working days (delivery expected by 8 working days). At busy periods such as Christmas these times will vary. UK HIGHLANDS & ISLANDS and OVERSEAS: We will try to us Royal Mail 1st Class or international small packages whenever possible. Delivery times will vary dependent on your address. We are happy to give you an estimate if you contact us before purchase. From time to time D G GENEALOGY will close for holiday and these details will be clearly posted on our information pages and delivery times adjusted accordingly. The above times are given as an indication and at all times are approximate.
Delivery will be made to the address supplied by you at time of order, a courier may leave the parcel somewhere safe or return it to their depot for collection – if you do not collect it and it is returned to us we will charge should you wish to still receive the parcel, if you no longer wish to have the item we will refund the cost of it but not the postage.
If you have special delivery requests we are happy to try to help but we cannot guarantee any delivery times where the item is being delivered by a third party.
Certain items are no longer allowed in the post to certain areas/ countries. We shall try to indicate in the listing if there is a problem with certain areas but we reserve the right to cancel an order if the postage of that item to the specified address is prohibited.
INTERNATIONAL DELIVERIES IMPORTANT NOTICE – some items may be stopped at customs and duties be chargable. We have no way of checking when and if this will occur. All additional duties/ taxes/ payments are the responsibility of the purchaser. If in doubt please check with the relevant authorities in your country before purchasing. It is your responsibility to check and we will not be responsible for the loss of any goods seized for this reason. We will not be responsible should you choose to break any laws regarding restricted items being imported into your country.
Pick up from our storage facility is welcome but only by prior appointment.
In some cases EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL may have a bearing on our processing and delivery times and we cannot be held responsible for any delays in these circumstances. We will contact you as soon as possible to advise you of the consequences of the event and you will be offered the option to cancel the order or wait for the situation to normalise.
PRICING
Whilst we will take all possible steps to ensure the prices are correct on our site but if a genuine error is made we reserve the right to contact you to advise you of the correct price and it will be your decision to proceed or cancel.
Prices quoted are the full purchase price and do not include VAT as D G GENEALOGY are not at this time registered for VAT. Should this position change we shall increase our prices by the relevant amounts and this will be announced on our information pages. During any transition time should a vat registration be required and you order a product that has not been amended we shall contact you for the price difference. We will cancel the sale without charge and refund any monies paid if you decide not to continue at the new price.
PAYMENT
We accept Paypal for payments for postal orders. Paypal may be used by you even if you do not have an account with them.
If you pick up your item from us we will also accept cash on collection.
Full payment must be received before despatch or collection.
ITEMS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT or DEFECTIVE
Use the ‘contact us’ page to contact us by email or phone and advise us of the damage that has occurred or the way in which the item is defective. We will liaise with you regarding the next step and your refund. Photographs of the packaging and damage would be appreciated when you make your claim.
Please check all items carefully upon receipt and tell us of any breakages or problems as soon as is practicable.
Please read the description carefully. In most cases these items are pre-owned and therefore will have an amount of wear and tear. We will try to give an adequate description and this should be borne in mind when considering any claim for a ‘defective’ item.
In the case of cash and collection purchases the items should be checked carefully before taking them away as breakages/damage cannot be claimed once the items have left the collection point.
GUARANTEES and WARRANTIES
Unless specifically mentioned in the listing we give no warranties or guarantees on these items. They will be checked and tested (if possible) but sold ‘as found’ as pre-owned items.
Goods are sold for the use of the purchaser and no liability will be accepted if they are used for commercial or resale purposes either to you or the end user.
COMMUNICATION
If we specify that contact must be made ‘in writing’ this includes both mail and email. Mail will be sent to the address supplied at time of sale.
Our contact us page will supply up to date methods of contacting us both in writing or verbal.
